blog #6 -- birthday edition

YAY!
it's my birthday and at 4: 21 am i turned seventeen years old
well, i usually say i don't feel different, but this year that is a complete lie.
I feel so different in so many ways, and i feel like i've learned so much during my 16th year that my 17th will be better.
Anyways i triumphantly defeated my AP gov and debate exams today :]
then my lovely friends came over and shared so giggles with me
alot of rockband and ping pong and pool and cake and laughs
i love my friends :]
will and becca made me a cake and that pretty much brightened my day
how can i say that people don't care about me when i'm surrounded by these amazing people who make me smile and enjoy the silliest things in life.
this may sound extremely corny but i am truly blessed.
my mom made my favorite dinner, stuffed peppers. yumm
and then proceeded to give me $100.
not to shabby :] and god knows I needed the money to fuel my shopping addiction.
not to mention i'm in the midst of reading "confessions of a shopaholic" darling little book
plus i feel the need to hole myself up in some little cafe (aka caribou haha) and read that book til i'm so bored i fall asleep.
anyways, i have a lists to make! check em' out


17 things I'm excited about doing while I'm 17
1. Driving past midnight (because the shows i like to go to last til 1 and i get the jitters driving past curfew, yes im a dork)
2. Alternative Press Tour (because i want to see if Nick remembers me!)
3. Rated R movies (because now i wont have to beg my mom to fandango my ticket for pineapple express)
4. Damn Yankees (i know i havnt been to any rehersals yet, but i really feel like i'll be more involved in this musical, plus im an upper classmen, which rocks)
5. Germany (yah i know its not number one, but its so far away that it's not real to me yet. still im excited to party it up and discover a new culture and myself)
6. Hawaii (because i want a tan, so so so bad)
7. Warped Tour 2009 (because since i'm now a warped vet, i know to bring boys to carry my stuff while i crowd surf)
8. Senior year of swim (because i've waited for years for the oppurtunity to be one of Timo's favorites and to be in the upper lanes despite my lack of speed)
9. Summer in general (because 08' was a blast, 09' should just take it up a notch)
10. Senior year! (starts when i'm 17!)
11. Not Homecoming (because i've learned from 3 years of sucky ones. i'm not driving, im not wearing black, i'll go with someone if they are serious and im finnaly getting my fucking hair done)
12. Chicago (because i'll be a senior and german club will just be BOSS!)
13. Halloween (because i know what i should be!)
14. County Meet (because fuck it if i don't make it, i'm going to be obnoxious and support my team)
15. League Meet (because I will finnaly make it back to finals, i'm determined)
16. Blue Mountaion with Aimee (because I love her)
17. Having the song "Seventeen Forever" finnally apply to me
